Mr. Aji no Blend
The two woven tubes connected to the ceiling lead to “Chinatown” and “Yamashita Park,” respectively. The smell of these two places (coalesce) “nioiawase” and emerge as tangible objects. This work is both a device and a plaything.

Kumiko SATO
Born 1990 in Gifu, Japan, Sato received her MFA from Aichi University of the Arts in 2020 in the field of oil painting and printmaking. Her solo exhibitions include “Happy Set” (Art Labo Aichi/Aichi/2021) and “Go One Around” (YEBISU ART LABO/Aichi/2019). Major group exhibitions include “Aji / Dokoro” (Kanagawa Kenmin Hall Gallery/Yokohama/2023), “UNLOGICAL 07” (MONO.LOGUES/Tokyo/2023), and “The 24th Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art” (Kawasaki City Taro Okamoto Museum of Art/Kanagawa/2021).
