Extraction, Reversal and Distribution of Urban GENE

If a city holds a GENE (gene), how can it be extracted?
We will create a map for the extraction of the city’s GENE (gene).
This map, which assumes the microscopic scale of slime fungus as a metaphor for humans, sets forth the goal of an irrational and individualistic perspective of wandering. Reverting to a physical method of production, the map will be manually produced by woodblock printing. The terrain, bodies of water, and other surfaces will be extracted, revealing an inverted, negative city. Simplified borderlines and key locations of strongholds for the purpose of invasion and development will not be marked. Maps with highly inefficient extractions will be distributed to individuals. It will then circulate back to the city.
